Abstract

Nursing is a sensitive profession and services provided may have a great impact on nurses, clients, and families. In recent years, the integration of faith into healthcare facilities has gained significant attention, arising from the recognition of the fact that faith plays a crucial role for nurses in minimizing work family conflict, WFC. This paper therefore uses a qualitative design to explore the potential of encouraging faith-based approaches to minimize WFC. Insights from the study align with contemporary challenges in the healthcare sector and nurses’ responses thereto. These responses highlight the connection of faith, nursing practice and community development. Therefore, healthcare leaders can foster a supportive environment that helps nurses balance professional and family responsibilities. Nurse leaders who embrace their faith can enhance their ability to promote work-family harmony.
